Programs

BOYS TO MEN

Boys to Men is an event that will give young men the opportunity to experience an exceptional day of royal treatment and exposure to some of life’s lessons. From haircuts, manicures, and pedicures during the week of the event, to getting dressed up in business attire, walking the red carpet, and attending a formal dinner and concert. During the event, the participants will be given the opportunity to talk and ask questions of successful entrepreneurs, professional athletes, radio personalities, and more. They will also be taught how to tie a Tie and learn other types of etiquette.

PRINCESS FOR A DAY

This event is much more than a day of pampering for foster or adopted children ages 3 to 19. Princess for A Day is meant to be a gift for foster and adoptive children in Georgia, to raise awareness for foster care in our community and a special day for any child.  Attendees are encouraged and uplifted to unleash their "princess within" through activities, connections and community involvement.

HOLIDAY HEARTS

Each year we partner with the United States Marine Corps Reserve and other donors in an effort to help less fortunate children share in the magic of the holidays. Our goal is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens.

CHILD MENTOR

Mentors helps to empower youth in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their potential. The mentoring program uses adult volunteers to commit to supporting, guiding, and being a friend and role model to a young person. By becoming a child mentor, you can help youth develop and reach positive academic, career, and personal goals.

VOLUNTEER PROJECT

Each year Down 7 Up 8 Inc.  holds several events. Events can range from sit downs with meals, conferences, lectures, workshops, vision board parties, managing communication, marketing as well as others. We need assistance with all aspects of event planning & execution.
